All Weight Classes: The DuraTrac motor can be configured for installation in light-duty, medium-duty and heavy-duty trucks. Packaging space should not be an issue as the mechanical shift adds only a few inches to the overall length.
100% Electric or Hybrid-Electric: DuraTrac operates as 100% electric or part of a hybrid-electric system. The system offered by Cummins Engine was hybrid electric and installed on a variety of class 3-6 truck chassis. The system was a retrofit with the DuraTrac unit installed in the driveline after the transmission. DuraTrac could be part of an OEM hybrid system.
